Conferences aren’t the only way to find out what’s new and interesting in the PostgreSQL code and community. If you can’t get away for the many conferences this season, here are some resources to keep you up to speed.
- Planet PostgreSQL. The Postgres community’s aggregator tracks 127 blogs. Compared to siblings Planet Python or Planet MySQL, the volume of posts is low, and the content is largely authored by major contributors to the PostgreSQL project.
- My Postgres Twitter list. The list began with just 30 people that I knew, but now has 106 Postgres contributors and DBAs.
- PostgreSQL Weekly News. David Fetter and others compile a list of local and regional events and a summary of the week’s commits. The RSS feed isn’t well advertised, but it is available!
- pgsql-announce Mailing List. This low-volume list provides community, product and release announcements.
